i want to talk about one of my heros... and it's not bill hicks, it's the president... of this country... the united states... president george w. bush.
no i mean it, i love him, and i'll tell you why.
first he's smart, scary smart. i mean every time i listen to him speak on any issue, whether it be national defense, inernational peace, abortion, terrorism, the environment, his knowledge, and grasp of the issue, is scary. i wonder if is intellegence frightens other world leaders as much as it frightens me.
second, the man is such a calming influence to this country. i give as an example the recent power outages in the northeast and midwest as an example... when president bush (my hero) came before the american people to assure us that the local, state, and fedral governments were doing everthing in there power to restore the electricity, and that they also were investigating the cause... his speech was so calming i damn near fell asleep. you see the man's as great a claming influence if ever there was one.
finally, he's honest. when it came to light that part of his justification for war with iraq (saddam's attempt to purchase uranium from africa), made during bush's state of the union speech was a lie... bush admitted (through his press secretary), that he had made a mistake... off faulty information from the cia and the british government. see honesty.
so you see people this is why the president of these united states george w. bush is my hero right after bill hicks, a man who hated his father...
