Had a brief meeting with my production crew about our plan for original "tv clips" that we need for some scenes in our film "RETIREMENT" (oh yeah, shameless plug right there).
And here's the plan I came up with: We're going to launch a contest that's open to student, amateur, and aspiring filmmakers to make short excerpts from various types of television broadcasts. The best three will be selected, and appear in the film; we'll credit the cast in crew in the film, as well as on IMDb (no shameless plug because the page has a lot of wrong information now), and also promote their involvement in a number of different social media sites.
I'm planning to contact the publisher/manager of the Student Filmmakers Network website to see if I can partner with them on this (they actually did a published interview with me for their magazine, so hopefully that relationship still exists).
And of all my crazy plans, this one is actually the least crazy.
