this evening, the fog enveloped me as i stood on the street on the side walk in front of my flat. it pressed and released, thin continents drifting apart and heaven was cleared for a shooting star in a moment.
later, a friend and i were on the 5 when she saw someone from her past...australia. we jumped off the bus and ran two blocks to catch up, but australia had caught a drift and moved away into the ocean of people, around the current on divisadero.
i wish for a moon to shine through my window and hold me in deep blue-green light. i want the fluid of hands running through my hair and the smell dark whiskey and sunflower seeds. violets and lavender incense my thoughts ocean and blue. tide and green. i want to dip below the surface and breathe. i lay in bed wrapping my arms around blankets and time. always time.

when are you kids headed out to sac? i suppose i could put you two ladies up for a night or two. you have to promise to be on your best behavior though and also be nice to the neighbors -- they get rowdy...

ya well,i don't think we would have a place to stay anyway. which actually irritates me. if i had friends coming to town the first thing i would do is offer my home. oh well-things on sg land right now have made me bitter again anyway....
