It's "name the fossil" time. If anybody can tell me what this is (or might be), I'd be very interested. Failing that, if anybody can come up with a good name for it, that'd be great. I thought maybe "Rover", but it doesn't look like it'll be roving too much now.
Embedded in a sandstone (limestone?) streambed, just above sea level (maybe 4 metres), south-western Vancouver Island. It's not quite the Burgess Shale, but it's still kind of cool.
Edited to add: scale=small. The whole thing is maybe 4 inches across.

I don't think it's a squirrel either. That is the first thing that came to my mind as I was looking at it though.
