1.5 hours until tomorrow. I'm turning... 40. 40. Good grief. Where does the time go? Doesn't seem like it's been that long. Mid-life crisis, here I come!! Too bad I can't afford a Harley... a good mid-life crisis really calls for a Harley, don't you think?

Of all the things I anticipated, as a kid thinking about what life would be like when I turned 40, the last one was that I'd still be in school!! I took a wrong turn, there, somewhere along the way. (Too bad I'm not a Prolog program... I could just backtrack!)

happy happy happy birthday! kiss so many good people in my life have birthdays in january. what a special month! ...and it's funny, you share the day with bush's inauguration (sharing special days is so tiresome...!) have you any intriguing plans for today?

hrmm, the problem i have with investing so much more in schooling is that i am not 100% sure this is really what i want. it's more like a 70/30 split.

maybe we should be given a unique alphanumeric name at birth, something like 2g5h3rt. by doing this we will all remain special at least by one different digit or letter. with this system, names wouldnt have any meaning as you mentioned but name redundancy will be eliminated!

if social secuirty numbers were actually handed out at birth, then they might actually be useful. but you have to "apply" for one. i know of a lot of people who didn't even bother getting their SS numbers until the end of highschool (and they only did because they needed it for college apps).
