Thanks for the good wishes! I dont NEED to be with someone else -- I'm self-sufficient enough to be my own person -- but it really feels good to have a girlfriend. And having sex on a regular basis is a nice plus.
adelina:
it's sad to see friends go inactive. x_x

you haven't posted any new photos recently. (i miss them.) most photos of people ARE uninteresting, i don't blame you for avoiding it even if you are "failing" at your photo club. j/k wink

h's H is on hold indefinitely. umm, so i'm halfway through and bam! no more fuel. do you ever feel that way? no? yeah well i know you're working hard on conquering the big D. summer is around the corner and you should be playing in paradise. as for me i'm okay with fossilizing in a chunk of resin (but that's me). wink

Why do I bother trying to have sensible discussions on the 'boards?

Why?

WHY, DAMMIT??? ANSWER ME! *shakes fist*

I know better, really I do. Yet I still do it! Why?

'Sensible' conversations? I can't even drum up a silly conversation on the boards. They baffle me. surreal
maggotboy:
Apparently sensible comments are the ones that get folks all riled up.

That means I think they're fun.

And thanks for your feedback--made me feel like this board really is a place I belong.

It's really a novel adaptation of The Crying Game. biggrin

I've posted my Hitchhiker's review in my journal. Read at your leisure. Go see the flick; it's enjoyable, if not impressive.
gadget:
Hey,

I'm glad I could make your day!

Thanks for the comment on my video.

I made a friend laugh today.

Okay, maybe on the grand scale of things, that's not so much... but still... it's not nothing, either.

yeah, I've been thinking seriously about getting a Linux/BSD distro. I just want to get a new HD first, because I want to keep all my Windows apps as well, and I have no room for a second OS.

As for your butterfly effect -- if you caused the end of the world, it'll take more than a couple days -- maybe a week or two, at least. So we at least have a little time to wrap things up before our day of reckoning comes along. See, there's a bright side to everything. smile
hylian42:
Believe me, if I could move away from this godforsaken state without any worries, I would. But here I have family, friends, gainful employment, etc., and it would so suck to leave it all behind.

I don't think it's a squirrel either. That is the first thing that came to my mind as I was looking at it though.

Thanks for the good wishes. biggrin

smile the nice thing about the Juan de Fuca is that it's less expensive, more accessible, and, from what i've been told, not nearly as busy. and we don't have to book in advance. when we went in 2003 it was amazing, but we only did 21 km (from Botanical Beach to Sombrio). this time, we're hoping to do the whole thing.

I love orchids. The first picture up there looks a little menacing. It has fang-looking things at the bottom. It's like some mutated carnivorous plant who will devour a full-grown adult in seconds. You should be careful. eeek

I can count on you to give me sound advice! wink So now I am reading multiple pleasure books.

At the library I checked out 3 Philip Roth books: Goodbye Columbus, The Human Stain, and The Dying Animal. Have you read any or all? Some jerk took the only copy of American Pastoral, so I have to wait until it's available. (Oh yeah, Clarke's book is STILL unavailable. Probably the same jerk will renew it til the end of the year...)

I just finished another book: Nabokov's Glory. I really liked it but of course it pales in comparison to Lolita. It must be frightfully sad when every other book of yours is compared with your genius masterpiece.

H is still on Hold.

How is your Big D coming along?

wait, so this sea gull is a wannabe flamingo?

how do you find out if the bird is a he or a she? i've never seen bird penii before.
adelina:
I googled "bird penis" and this article is the first one that popped up: Longest Bird Weiner Ever and it even comes with a picture! Joy!

This was the most interesting sentence (for me): "Most male birds don't have penises - they copulate by briefly touching genital openings, called a 'cloacal kiss.' " And I thought kissing didn't make babies!?!

If I were to ever become another animal, I'd be a bird dog. How about you?

p.s.
the above is the last question of the night. i'm noticing that i ask you too many ?'s blush
