@jozsef  yup - been here as long or longer too - I lurked for a couple of years before joining up - had a much younger woman at the time... she left the site and me, i didn't... i am curious to see how it has, um, 'changed' over the decade and more... and the women as well... less creativity but i suppose that always goes with fame

Seeing that you're posting on Threads, I hope this means that you're feeling better. **Disappointed to hear that the $$$$ pulled out of Woodstock at 50.

I am feeling slightly better--my days are very short - from about 4 pm to midnight... all the rest is sleep and breathing efforts... quite the reverse of my normal work rhythms... i may have a diagnosis, which may have a treatment - a course of heavy antibiotics for "10 to 12 months"... that's gonna be cheap! and easy on the stomach! but at least it's a direction to go in.!  RE Woodstock--I'm relieved, actually; I live 6 miles from Watkins Glen - a town of about 5,000; I don't think it can possibly handle a massive crowd with all the current OSHA & Homeland Security and even ICE requirements... it could very well devastate the local economy.. better they should go back to Yaz's farm!  -- It would have been nice, musically--but as an old fart, the welfare of the locals now matters more to me..

It is a good tribute to Nina that the Hall of Fame is doing.

Her brother is a friend of ours... has been doing children's music all these years.  She was a star gone too soon and too soon lost behind the glamor of glitzy, but less authentic sounds..

He's quite good. I've been a fan of Sigur Rós for years and years, so I have his solo album, and the one he did with his partner as well. A lot of music is the same these days, they and a lot of the Icelandic scene brings something different to the table.

Thanks @TATTOOEDDON.  Yes, I have studied and taught primary source material for quite a while (49 years so far).   Probably the weirdest book out there is the Bible - written in many languages many centuries 'after the fact' if fact there was--and translated in such a dilute form it is a mashup of revelation superstition and mid-eastern politics.  No other religion in the world can't read its own 'bible'... how weird is that??

Yes I too understand it is very far removed from what it once was, diluted by the Catholic church for manipulation and adopted beliefs for what was popular through the ages. I always wanted to understand it through the eyes of Judaism and to read it in the Hebrew language but I realized a universal truth...in silence, we can understand the real truth and it is so simple, to really love and care for each other, no matter what creed we claim, no matter our background, no matter our color. we are just simply here to have true compassion and love each other for who we are. It's so easy, so simple, so basic. Fuck religion. I can't stand it. So much control, so much damn money. It's disgusting. We are Gods, Goddesses, here to experience joy in each others perspectives. Its so cool to talk to you. Thank you for your knowledge and perspectives. The Bible IS so weird. It took me a long time to understand that fact. @oldernow.
