I performed a couple interviews while at the con and they went really well! But then there were technical difficulties and blah blah blah. No video of me on the Internets with comic creators.. They were kind of awkward to listen to anyway. They work much better in text. Which is good. One has already been posted, and the rest will be up on Multiversity later this week.
BUT: Let me share with you my absolute favorite part of WonderCon. No, it was not being accosted by DC Employees for having the AUDACITY to walk within 20 feet of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. all I wanted was to walk to the actual Green Lantern Panel. Who cares about the actors, I just want comics ;~;
(fuck DC sometimes man...ugh)
anyway, it was this AWESOME group of fans that all dressed as reverse gender superheroes, I'm going to put all the amazing pics and gifs behind a cut, so you're not overloaded with AWESOME.
But in other news, I got a new phone! an iPhone 4. Yeah, I'm a slave to the iOS now. I kind of wanted a Motorola Atrix, but when I realized that I'd have to re-buy all the apps I bought for my iPhone, I was like "nope.gif." I'm thinking about fixing the 3GS though and either selling it or not fixing it and just selling it for parts.
But since I have the phone now, I made a few Instagram updates! It's hard to keep up when your phone is being a cock, but here you go. a few from jsut the past few hours!
In other news, I've been making Tumblr Macros and being like whaaaaaaaat?
Oh, I don't even know. I posted the silly video from the last blog on Tumblr and it kind of blew up, getting nearly 1,200 likes and reblogs (which means countless people saw it, which is kind of scary.). I was enjoying it until some of the comments started getting mean, which bummed me out, but it also taught me that Tumblr (or rather the internet) thrives on cynical, ironic humor rather than earnest humor. Ah well. Then, I posted this little thing:
Anyone who has ever used Tumblr knows how finicky it is. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And since it's a jokingly referred to as a Hipster Hangout, I thought it was appropriate to post. Turns out I was right, and 16,169 notes later, my dash has been flooded, my follower count has risen, and I've actually gotten hate anons! I know it's lame, but hate anons amuse me to no end.
Then I moved onto the Musically Oblivious 8th Grader. Some people were complaining about how stupid people are when it comes to music. They mentioned some examples so I went to town on everyone's favorite musically disinclined middle schooler (no, not Rebecca Black.)
Yeah. That was fun.
Which brings up to a couple nights ago. I saw this scan of a comic with Starfire. I don't know if you know Starfire in the comics, but she has giant voluminous hair (unlike the cartoon, where it was kind of flat). Well, she was acting like a brat when she was turned into a kid, and I was inspired to make Mean Girls + Comics macros in honor of another blog Kanye + Comics. Brilliant blog.
ANYWAY, on the the Mean Girls + Comics Macros which I will put behind a cut again!
Yeah, I clearly have too much time on my hands.
But to cleanse the palette (as it were), here are some random Tumblr pics to enjoy.
This concludes a wildly disjointed and random blog entry with lots of pictures.
