I have been working and schooling my ass off lately. 10-14 hour work days depending on which conference I was working on. Midterms. Group projects (which I HATE...). I am kind of tired and ready for a break. The good news is that starting at 2pm today, I will be off work until next Thursday (but not off school...). As soon as I get off work, I am running home, packing up, and heading to Indiana for the OSU vs. Purdue game. YAY! I get to see some great old friends this weekend. That always recharges me.
I have made some amazing friends in the past couple years, but my "old" friends always seem to understand me completely. There are some newer friends who get me too, but the older ones ALL do. They never get mad if they don't hear from me for a little while - they know I am busy. They never try to guilt-trip me or make me feel like crap for a decision I've made - they support me and wait to see if I need them to help me get back up again sometime down the road. They have never played immature mind games, been snarky towards me and mine, or been gossipy. They love me no matter what - not only when I am making them happy. They're the best friends a girl could ask for. I cannot wait to see them...get lots of hugs...eat some pizza...have some beers...go to the Buckeye game. Our seats will be in the end-zone...about 20 rows up...there are 14 of us going, we'll all be wearing red. Look for us! I also owe a great big giant thank-you to my awesomest neighbor who is letting the dog out tonight and tomorrow so that I can actually go. There will be pizza or hot dogs and maybe a scary movie night for him and his lovely lady sometime soon.
And now, some open-letters just because they're fun:

No not at all....it's hard to get invested in a World Series when no teams are playing that you care about. I tend to be that way with most sports...when a team I'm rooting for or at least kinda like isn't play I just can't keep my interest.
