My conference is tomorrow and I am SO glad. I can't wait for it to be done and over. I spent nearly the whole day on the phone solving last minute issues.
Now, I am dealing with my homeowner's association...*boo*...basically, our neighborhood is in mutiny right now and we are trying to overthrow our current HA for several very valid reasons that I'm not going into. The guy in charge of the "takeover" is shooting out e-mails at warp speed, so I am trying to figure out good responses.
Last night Jon and I decided that it is time for us to do something fun together...just us. We always have the child with us whenever we do something fun, but she is at a wedding all weekend, so it's just us. I think Saturday we will go to the zoo (one of the perks of my job is that I get free tickets to lots of cool places that want me to use them for conferences) and as Jon said in a text message today, we will follow that with a lengthy session of "bow chicka wow wow". Haha.
Sunday we have a couple options that seem to be good. We will either go see a movie, go hiking in Hocking (which we try to do atleast once a year and haven't done yet this year), or we will go to the orchard. The apple crop was pretty much FAIL! this year, and this is one of the last weekends we have an opportunity to go. I must make pies. We'll also pick up pumpkins for me, him, and the kid, and we will carve them when she's over next weekend. We got really creative a couple years ago and I did a witch and he did Rasheed Wallace. I'm trying to figure out something kickass to do this year. And then I will season and roast the pumpkin seeds...they're like sunflower seeds only a billion times better.
ZomG...neerrrd alert!!!
have fun this weekend
