It's been too long since I last updated. I'm running around deciding what to do with my life. Big decisions need to be made, but I also need to procrastinate for a while. It's necessary. Anyway, I'm reading House of Leaves. This is not the ideal book to read on a train or airplane as there is a lot of movement involved. You have to constantly go back to the appendices, and somepages have writing upside down or sideways. I was reading one of the sideways pages this morning on the train and afterwards looked over at the lady sitting next to me. She had this "oh that poor mentally handicapped young man" look on her face. I thought briefly about going over and giving her a great big hug and producing a massive toothy grin, but decided the inevitable pepper-spraying was a suitable deterrent.
Something in the back of my head tells me that I have to open up to the possibility of a relationship. I've been avoiding it for a long time now, but if I don't get a girlfriend [or at least some type of sham girlfriend] I'll never see certain of my friends again. Several of my closest friends have jumped out of the social scene and almost exclusively into the couples scene. It's like they don't want to be associated with it anymore. I have a few single friends, but we have different schedules, and live in different states and countries.
Soooo, my alternative is to break them up with their significant others one at a time. I'm not sure which one would be more rewarding, or require more effort. Get a girlfriend, or get rid of my friends' girlfriends...
Any input would be appreciated.
