Last weekend my father and I got drunk. This tends to happen when we get together. He allowed me to have one beer with dinner when I was 20. The day I turned 21, I was his official drinkin' buddy. Now, when I go visit him we sit around drinking wine until we're nice and 'faced and then go listen to music. He has a great system, mostly Mark Levinson components with two ML amps to support the B&M 801s. We crank (and I'm talking bleeding eardrums here) classic rock. Our standby, the song we listen to every single time is Cowboy Movie (David Crosby w/ Jerry Garcia and most of Jefferson Airplane.) I love this song, not just because it's a great tune to listen to at seriously high volumes, but because it always reminds me of good times with the old man.
As we were walking back through the darkness
I heard the Duke - he's our dynamiter - say
He said what's your name sweet little Indian girl
She said Raven and she looked away
As we were walking back through the darkness
I heard the Duke - he's our dynamiter - say
He said what's your name sweet little Indian girl
She said Raven and she looked away
