The years of my wanderlust had finally put me where I wanted to be.
On a motorbike.
On a mountain.
On my own.
A fast sprint put me down the highway about 10 clicks. I doubled back. The roads that werent straight were the other way, behind me, and so was any possible reunion. If I was going to be lost, at least the edges...

Hi y'all,

Previously I bloged: "Germany was next on the list and that meant I was picking up my bike and was finally on 2 wheels in Europe. Unfortunately, the first leg those 2 wheels experienced was 1500 kilometers of autobahn. Fast, god-almighty-fast, and just about as boring. 160 Km/hr sounds like fun, for just about 5 minutes. After that it's butt-numbing time, as the...

Sounded like a great vacation. Did you ship ypur bike or rent?

Ahh, excellent holiday. Highly recommended to anyone who likes to moto.

I was going to ship my bike outta Toronto, but ended up using a German friend's bike (free). All in all a really affordable excursion.

BTW, Italy is moto nirvana!

Retro Blog: Before the Euro Trip

Im in the heart of Dixie working on this small independent documentary film. The bulk of production is canned and barring a few misc. shots from around the region the footage is ready to go. Sadly, the script isnt. In fact, the writer (Micah) is still laboring fruitlessly to squeeze out his mediocre prose and get the pages completed...

Sounds very surreal and interesting.. maybe your brain is playing tricks on you to keep you from falling asleep. Ive always thought that we are fortunate that there is a film industry that does all the dirty work while we sit back and watch. dont get lost out in the woods..Ive heard way too many stories about people dissapearing. hope to see you around again soon.t

Well, I really wanted to share my Europe experience with y'all. I had/have a lot to tell...and no one to relate it to! The journey has come to a close, and after a month and a half of cavorting around the decidedly and appreciating non-American border of Western Europe, I gotta admit, it's somewhat comforting to have the ridiculous amounts of U.S. Convenience available at...
