Alrighty....a more proper update.
I woke up Saturday morning and my computer wouldn't do anything. I couldn't get online. I couldn't see any of the files on my computer. I couldn't do anything. But I didn't have time to do anything about it.
Saturday morning I left for Saginaw and I was there until Tuesday morning. It wasn't too bad. There was some good and some bad, but not a horrible visit altogether. A friend of mine from Saginaw is trying to talk me into moving to Seattle with her.....god would that be an awful idea.
I got back into town Tuesday afternoon. I worked Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Finally on Thursday I had time to take my computer over to get it "fixed". Also on Thursday I went over and applied at Dairy Mart since I had heard they were looking for third shift help.
I got my computer back last night and I spent the next several hours reorganizing things and trying to redownload all of my drivers and stuff. I'm thinking it's time for me to get a new computer. I want this! So, who wants to cough up the $700ish it would cost, plus chip in to buy me a monitor, keyboard and a mouse? It will put a helluva dent in my moving fund, but it's so pretty and shiny! My current computer pisses me off on a regular basis, has only a 6gb harddrive and is almost five years old. I need a new one, eh.
I had an interview at Dairy Mart this morning. Third shift is from 9:45p-6:15a, I would get three or four shifts a week (average just under thirty hours a week) and the pay would be $6.90/hr.....I'm thinking no. Ideally (what with the impending new computer purchase) I would like to stay on for more than just Sundays at the Papa, if I could get something that would allow me to work Friday and Saturday from 5-10 or so then the new computer wouldn't be as big of a setback. So, I think I am going to keep looking. Thankfully I am not overly desperate at this point.
I had to cancel the two drafts that I had set for Monday night. The lack of internet access made me do it. I don't wnat the computer drafting for me and I don't want to not show up for the draft and slow everyone down. I will sign up for a couple leagues this week and draft them sometime soon.
My bracket is beat to shit. I may as well just tear the damn thing up and stomp on it. Three of my four Final Four teams have been eliminated.....this is not good. My only hope is that Duke makes it to the championship but doesn't win and that Villanova beats UNC tonight and have Arizona and/or West Virginia make it to the Final Four....otherwise I'm completely fucked. The games have been so good though. Texas Tech and OSU lost by just a few points, they almost made me look like a fucking genius.
Well, that about covers it....I need to get looking for a new job and do something about lunch.

I would bet a significant amount of money that Bonds is playing by Mid-May. He just said that stuff to get the media all in a tizzy/off his back/fuck up people's fantasy drafts. Knee surgeries like that typically only take a month to heal. Even with his advanced age, he'll be out there much sooner than the All Star Break.
Trust me. I've been watching Bonds for the past 13 years. About once a year he pulls out the "this might be my last year" routine. It's just for his own amusement.
i have an emac, you know the one that looks a giant half-egg.. but i dont use it much because it's not nearly as convenient as the laptop. i heard good things about the mac mini. too bad apple just doesnt include a mini keyboard and mini monitor to go with it for an extra $100.
