Bowling night was big fun. I won two games, which is rare. Tons of people showed up and it was a damn good time. We should all get together more often. I know I'd be more than willing to drive to Lansing.
I rolled my first ever turkey last night too!
Today is a do nothing day. I woke up around noon or so. I hopped on AIM for the first time in a long, long time. I got to chat with TunnelSlats for the first time in months. I had to run to the store and pick some stuff up. Now I'm eating lunch and watching Life as a House. I've heard some good things about it, so I borrowed it from MrNiceGuy last night.
I have a draft for fantasy baseball tonight....one of my non-SG leagues. It's a keeper league, so I already have Todd Helton, Juan Pierre, Sammy Sosa, Lance Berkman and Brett Boone....a good start to a team, but I'm gonna have to take some pitchers with my first few picks....any suggestions?
One of the guys at work is quitting. This means I will be able to go back to my preferred work schedule. I will be working 5-6 days from 10:30-7 or so. I'll be able to get in 40-45 hours and be out by 7ish every night, it'll be nice.
I need a good book to read. I'm reading Thucydides right now and it is slow and tedious. I need some fun fiction to read. I'm thinking about applying for an SGBook Club wherein everyone will get a turn to suggest a book and then we will read it and discuss it. It's bee suggested before, most recently by CriticalOverSite and I think it may be time to try to get it done. I'm just not sure how to regulate it.
