The reason death sticks so closely to life isn't biological necessity- it's envy. Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it; a jealous, possessive love that grabs at what it can. But life leaps over oblivion lightly, losing only a thing or two of no importance, and gloom is but a passing shadow of a cloud.

Thats how I lost my 1st edition of a million little pieces, the wierd thing is I know for a fact that everybody that I worked with doesnt read lol I'm going to make it a mini goal to pick up a copy of "Life of Pi" tomorrow. Refuse towatch the movie until I read the book

I'm the same way. Although in the book there seems to be much more of an internal struggle going on that can't really be captured in film so it should be almost a different story entirely. Still wanna read it first
