Well, it turns out quitting my job was the best thing I could have done for myself. I applied to a restaurant that same day, got called for an interview two days later, and started work as a line cook the following morning. Three days from one job to the next -- that's the quickest I've ever found a new job. And it's so much better in every way. It's 8am to 4pm, which means I have every evening off and can actually go out when I want to. It pays me twice every two weeks -- my tips on Monday in cash, and my paycheck that same Friday. So I'll be able to pay my rent and bills and still have play money for the weekend. I also get all meals at 40% off, and the food there is amazing so I'll have to try everything eventually. And finally, I work with some great people who actually respect and appreciate me. I now enjoy working and look forward to going to work every day, and feel good about my day afterward.
One less thing to worry about. Now I can focus on getting some garments made and advertised and build an impressive portfolio.
