Some people's idea of love is to simply want to have someone around and have sex. (You look so nice and have such good taste that the vast majority of guys will be attracted to you in a second.) A better definition would be that the other person's happiness is terribly important to you and knowing they are in pain is difficult for you to bear. It can be hard at first to go along with ideas that seem wrong and still be accepting and supportive, so part of implementing this attitude has to be recognition of the fact that some questions have one right answer, but these are objectively verifiable things in the physical world. Salt lowers the freezing point of water, or diamonds are harder than sapphires, for example.
In an entirely different category are the countless subjective issues that are entirely dependent on personal taste or preference, a perfect example of which being the details of what makes for a nice wedding. Common sense will often be brought into arguments about such things but common sense is highly personal. It may be shared within families or certain groups, but it's still just opinion and perception and not verifiable objective fact.
If your fiance's idea of love is to give you an intolerably uncomfortable and unrewarding life in which your wishes mean little or nothing, then I fear that he may have less real love for you than even total strangers deserve. I hope you make sure that my fear is unjustified before you go through with this wedding. He has to know exactly how you feel before he can make any changes, so do make sure that you tell him very clearly. He will be on your side if he really loves you and I see no reason why he shouldn't. You need not worry about alienating him by speaking up because the sad situation you are walking into is very easy to find a similarly dreadful substitute for, so no fear of jeopardizing it is justifiable.
