Today is one of those days to be proud of the internet, and it's ability to bring people of all walks of life together to shout out a single goal. Die in a fire SOPA / PIPA. I was practically enthralled reading about all the articles and commentary about this world wide protest. Ars Technica had some pretty great coverage of what is going on and what you can do.
Legislation like this shows an extreme lack of understanding of technology and how to function in the digital age. A part of me feels bad for the people in these companies that are just trying to make a living, but the companies as a whole need to be stopped from trying to destroy freedoms just to make money. Rock on internet, rock on.
