Today is one of those days to be proud of the internet, and it's ability to bring people of all walks of life together to shout out a single goal. Die in a fire SOPA / PIPA. I was practically enthralled reading about all the articles and commentary about this world wide protest. Ars Technica had some pretty great coverage of what is going on...

Tis' not a happy thing at all. I just met this amazing person and am now moving 2,000 miles away from him.

I am like unbelieveably happy right now. Eight years ago today, when of my favorite bands to ever be, Five Iron Frenzy, played their last show and retired as a band to go their seperate ways. Today, 8PM CST they announced they want to make another album and eventually tour, all without a label. So they started a Kickstarter to try to raise $30,000...

Thanks for the nice comments you left. I'm really glad you liked the photos so much. It makes me super happy to know that it can make someone feel like they're there (:

Also, that is so cool that a band can have that much support that they raised all of that money in such a short time.

I'm not sure if the oak tree is still there! I haven't been back to the areas that I grew up since I was about 19. It's kind of sad to think about it I suppose, but in a way if you're going to move on there's not much point looking back (:

The trees on the coast here they think range from about 200-800 years old, so it's really fascinating to see they've survived so long.

So I was taking a nap, and I swear I heard a clock ticking. I used to have a clock in my room, for years and years, but it has been awhile. I can't forget the sound though. It was kinda soothing but I know I don't have one now. But there it was, tick, tick, tick. So I got up to see...

So there I was. Just, you know, sitting in my chair. It rocks pretty well. All of a sudden it felt like I was sinking in. I looked down and I was still rocking. But everything was getting kinda heavy. But I kept rocking, rocking, rocking. And then WHAM. My head slammed onto the desk. That was about 5 minutes ago. Apparently I am too...

We are all strangers in a strange land. Wanderers in a vast and unknowable universe.

Sometimes I like to disappear. Well maybe I don't like it so much, as it just happens. I've never been able to really explain it. I reach points where sit in the wind and reflect. Reflection can be good for you. Builds character, so they say. Survived the...

Resonate.

It's funny to me that some days I can listen to the same song over and over and over again. It simply resonates with me. I've been listening to the same track for a couple hours now as I go about doing things. There are no vocals, and only two instruments. Primarily an acoustic guitar and sometimes an electric guitar chimes in...

Sweet, I made myself my own friend! Maybe it's me from a parallel universe. Better go hide the rum.

Sometimes you lose sight of what you are, who you are. You get trapped in the darkness, the loneliness, the hopelessness. You fight, you scream, for what feels like a lifetime, and may even be one. So long that you don't even remember what you were looking for, or who you were. And maybe that's a good thing. You can start over, start...
