Well, I've had a coupld days on the job, and it's not too bad. It's laid back, especially for a bank, so that's good. But it's very repetitive. Sometimes I do really well with repetitive stuff, like counting money. But the other stuff I have to do is SO repetitive I'm going to avoid it at all costs.
Been reading Rubyfruit Jungle as the first book for our private little feminist book club. I like it so far...it's an easy read an pretty enjoyable. Probably not the best we'll read though.
I still need to find another part-time job. I guess I might try the mall, cause I must avoid food
When you're not used to standing for 8 hours, it can be tiring. I'd like to take a nap but I don't think I will.

Sorry it's taken me a while to respond. Met with Joey on Monday in Buffalo which was fab and been busy with school since then. I finish classes on the 16th, then begin my internship on the 19th. Then from there, possibly Italy...
Congrats on landing yourself a job, even if it is a bit boring and repetitive. It take it this is temporary gig?
I'm going to see Waiting for Godot at the HarbourFront Centre tonight. I can't wait!
"See my vest, see my vest, made from real gurellia chest..."
Sorry, I'm watching the Simpsons as I type. It's the episode where Mr.Burns kidnapps a litter of puppies from Bart and Lisa, and he launches into that "See My Vest" song. Cracks me up!
I'm not exactly sure what to expect from this internship. I know they'll probably have me doing gopher work will more than likely stick me in the tape room for a while. Tape rooms are no fun, they're the bottom of the barrel in the post-production industry, but no matter what your training is, everybody has to start there. However, the general manager did say she would give me the opportunity to work on some editing and I really hope that's true. This facility cuts commercials for t.v. Being able to show real-world projects in my demo reel would be fabulous because they would be taken more seriously then a couple of school projects. My placement starts July 19th ( I think I mentioned that) and I can't wait! Then from there, who knows...possibly Italy...we'll see.
Waiting for Godot was excellent. It was my first time seeing it live and I'll probably go back again in a month or so to see it with my best friend. The man who played Vladimir was phenomenal! Reading the play and seeing it live are two very different experiences. It's actually more comical, more vaudevillian then what I expected. Defintely epitomizes existentialism in a nutshell!
Alright honey, I'm off to bed. Good luck on finding another part-time gig. Hope you're legs aren't too sore from all the standing.
Namaste
