infinite joy

admit it; you know you want it
come on; you've gotten this far--

come on.

dreams like when you slept, soft
in bed, before fitful sleep set in,
radio came on, old vinyl or
a scratched up CD,
that passionsong you played over again
and over

you would sacrifice your whole fucking life
for that one lost love
which you'd never
quite found...

Lovely writing! I never could write poetry that didn't sound forced or stilted, but yours seems to flow naturally, unforced. A fresh and refreshing spring of untainted h2o.

Yes, it's nice to reconnect with old friends, and to find out that their memories of me are so different than the awful person I remember being.

My rumi quote for today: ( i so love rumi)

You breath without a body like a spark
you grieve, and I begin to feel lighter
you keep me away with your arm
but the keeping away is pulling me in.

Things aren't as bad as I sometimes worry they could be.

I'm a positive sort by nature. I was born the life of the party. Just dropped those seeds and flowers along the way.

Sometimes I just forget about my inherent value, and look at the "seeming" rather than the being.

So, ehrm, I guess I'd rather have said that, here, today.

Just did.

Oh! I also initially had meant to share this anectdote from today. I saw this luscious girl hitch-hiking today (I don't pick up hitch'ers, that is one un-hippie-like thing about me). She looked Native-American/Latin. Long brown hair, form-fitting jeans, lolita-esque sunglasses on, she looked about my age, lovely.

I drove by thinking, "tempting. Yum." I was waiting for my right of way, and still sort of enjoying the yumminess of her, quite attractive by superficial standards.

Seemed no one was feelin' a vibe to pick her up (despite her obvious hotness) so the tides shifted very quickly. She bent down and picked up this liter bottle of some sort of soda (unless there was J.D. in it! LOL) and started yelling at the drivers! I don't know what it said but her body language (suddenly less sexy more truck-driver-esque) was saying, "gimme a ride for Christ's sakes!" almost demanding it. She jumped in front of a car or two (dim-bulb mentality, too. Endangering her lives and theirs!). So it was a lesson for me, too. Sometimes I think someone who's a package outside is automatically swell inside too. I slip and think that, truly. But that was a reminder. Things ain't always as they seem.

(whistful sigh)

The image, pre-bitching though, was just beautiful and filmic. So, too, was the other, in a relativistic kinda way.

If I do not claim responsibility for my emotions, then I can easily fool myself into believing you're playing with them.

Thanks. Have you ever read the Razor's Edge by W. Somerset Maugham? That's what directed me to read the Upanishads.
Like your entry. Your own thoughts?

Gone Spiralling Again

Gone spiralling again
up toward the heavens
chanting up heaven's sky
knowing that the promised land is here
in my head and my heart
in my hands in fingers
innocence's honeydrip,
these are my eternal rivers that flow

I am Zion.
I am the promised land.
I am cherished.
I am the treasure.
I am the savior who comes in right on...

I will forever adore your writing and when I get some time, I would still love to throw down some music for you to sing to. Damn... the way your choruses of writing blend into something and metamorph into something else just as brilliant is astounding. Sorry I have been so absent, but I am leaving in 4 days! YIPES! Much love dear.
