Yesterday was food prep day and here's some of the things I made:
vegan chocolate cookie dough ready to go chill in the freezer
Ingredients for my salsa
Everything but about half of the petite dice tomatoes goes into my ancient Vita Mixer
Finished salsa
Dough for soft pretzels
Baked pretzels. I tried a new recipe for these and though they browned nicely I didn't like how they came out so I will be tweaking the recipe.
This is my oldest son when he was about 8 months old and yes this was our Xmas card for that year. The picture was actually taken just after Halloween we had to dig out the Xmas stuff for the picture!
And here's his younger brother when he was about 2 I think.
They are both much taller than me now which is saying something since I'm 5'9"
I watched the Oscar's the other night and this was pretty much the best part.
And Heath Ledger winning for Best Supporting Actor.
Though I think he was totally brilliant in the part, I truly doubt he would have won had he not died. I would have been surprised if he had even been nominated.
I almost missed the entire show due to the fact that I keep forgetting I'm on the west coast now! I forgot the whole "it's on live factor" and that meant it started around 5pm here and not 8pm.
Damn good thing I checked my twitter at 5:15!
