I am realizing that I may not be the most patient person in the world. I detest the whole waiting process. I have contacted the Colville Reservation about locating my family. I am unsure if I even have family left. So I've been playing the waiting game now for a couple of days. I really hope they can help me in some way. There my only other option then going to my dad.
Which in most cases wouldn't be that bad except. He is a complete stranger. I have met him four times in my twenty one years on this earth. All four times I had to track him down. I have never gotten the answers I seek from him. Maybe I'm just not asking the right questions. Who knows. I know I have a brother in New York. He doesn't know I exist. My father has no brothers or sisters, and his parents died in a car accident when he was young. There's so much I don't know about him. He is shrouded in mystery. For instance not even he knows his age. They guess he is between the ages of forty to sixty. He has no birth certificate, no drivers license, has never been married so I cannot get his social security number off of that. There is no public record on him. He has never had any public documentation.
Everything I know about my father,
His name is Raymod Longstar ( this I didn't find out until I was eighteen. )
He was born on the rez.
He joined the rodeo in his early teens. Traveling the country riding bulls and taming wild horses.
He worked with a organization in california working to stop the shipment of native material made in the Orient being passed off in the states as native made.
Every horse that has gone threw this area for local fairs and shows has been either been his or trained by him.
He lived fifteen minutes away from me for most of my life and I never once saw him.

I'm probably as impatient as you are... have you heard anything yet?

i hear you on that "missing out on more than they could ever know" part. i cant remember the last time my dad was at one of my birthdays, or x-mass, or highschool graduation,etc.. I know this sounds cheesy but i seriously believe that we're not thrown anything we cant handle and if it doesn't break us it makes us. Cliche i know, but its my mantra that helps me get through all that stuff. Send news if you hear anything!
