back from a family weekend over the hill. My sister was thrilled to be moving into her new dorm at Cal, and starting her college career. I tried to contain my jealousy at her getting to go to Berkeley, but then I shouldn't worry about it - Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz are apples and oranges. mmmm, oranges.
um, where was I? Oh yeah, this evening I went to see the Taming of the Shrew performed at Shakespeare Santa Cruz. It was hilarious - it's amazing how well the Bard holds up, even after four centuries. It was a good foot-note to the weekend.
in other news, I'm bored and a bit lonely. I'm only in Santa Cruz for another three weeks, and I want my time here to end with a bang, not a whimper. Anything going on out there in SG-land?

And Berkeley was fun, but I'm sure Santa Cruz was good too. The people I met who went there were generally a lot cooler and more chill than the folks I knew at Cal. Apples and Oranges, like you said.
