as far as posting photos goes i have gottne away with posting 120kb and 140kb photos. I post them at screen resolution so they load fast. If i were to sell photos or print them i'd go larger.

the only thing wrong with your "holllywood producers" reference is that they pay to use copyrighted material.

even though i legally own copyright of my photos. i can't really stop what happens to my photographs once i post them but i still don't really see a need to post them outside of the SG website. its a central enough location for the members in the photos to see them. and comment on them.

theres a reason we all have screen names here and that the SG's choose other names...it gives us a bit of anonymity here. so i'd rather just keep the photos in "the SG family." I'd like the photos to be for members only. If other people wanna see them...they can pay to join SG like the rest of us.

now, if you took the photos or are in the photo you want to post thats fine with me otherwise i say just leave it posted on SG

if you want to bring a camera to SG events and take your own photos to post by all means do. I'm not any sort of official SGDFW photogrpaher. i just shoot and post for the fun of it.

but i do appreciate your enthusiasm for the group and for asking me about using the photos

We aren't positively going yet, and I don't know about the ride situation yet. I wasn't planning on driving - I was going to try to find a ride. Sorry.

Also, in the future, if you want to talk to me, just leave me a comment. Please do not email me. Thanks.

What can I say, I'm a 22 year old guy working part-time @ Fry's Electronics as an audio sales rep and at an indoor soccer facility part-time, saving up moolah in preparation to move out to Burbank/Silver Lake/somewhere near those areas, California, where I'll attend Video Symphony Institute of entertainment media production August-ish this year to study film/video editing/post-production.

So, even though I currently reside...

May I highly recommend the book "The Killer Inside Me" by Jim Thompson. Unbelievably good noir.
