Had great fun hanging out with some circus types - overcame language barriers with some quiet drinks and food.

It's a great buzz to meet new people with independent/interesting lives. These guys train so hard, look amazing, are worldly but some unassuming.

God, I'm so used to people who are consumed by their egos and it's such an easy trap to fall into.

Saw the Leonard Cohen movie at Nova - I enjoyed it a lot.

Narrative patchy, Bono a wanker, but the assortment of stars singing Cohen was excellent. Nick Cave, naturally, the best.

Mostly fun night - things are looking up.

Fantastic Friday - two mates, a restaurant with a view of a bustling city river, and no deadline to be anywhere else.

Lunch started at 12.30 and finished at 9pm - lost count of how many bottles of red and the food was great.

But it was one of those days/nights when everything clicked - great laughs, talks, inviting strangers to the table throughout course...

Holiday booked Monkey Mia, swimming with dolphins. Two weeks of beach coming up in New Year. Treks, desert, sailing - a great way to start 2007 with a clear head and new focus.
