Oh....I made the mistake of taking the bait and asked a question I should not have asked. I hit the send button, and could not take it back. I realized that I actually did not want to know the answer. Fortunately for me, the person on the receiving end had the sense to mostly let me off the hook. I'm glad for it. I already do enough dumb things without adding all that to the list too. ha ha.

the girl's a friend of a media partner of mine. He's an amazing videographer and we were planning on offering this packages to model agencies to create portfolios for their models (I do photo, he does video)

Nothing wrong with wanting to join. I think it is like anything else. Wanting to be a fireman, or a police officer, Doctor, Lawyer. It can be a chosen profession.

But there are different reasons why people join, specially in the US, not just because. Some people do it for family tradition, career choices, money, education, debt, escapism, ultimatum of the police, etc. I'm the career type, just to escape and a 4 year job.
