Yesterday I was a witness to instant karma. My friends and I were walking to the Nuart Theater to see MirrorMask (it was good) when a fire truck and an ambulance came blaring down the street. Everyone stopped (well most people) to let them through the intersection, but there was this one car that thought he was quick enough to make a right turn behind the fire truck and in front of the ambulance. Ends up he wasnt, so for a second he sat in the middle of the road, blocking the ambulances path. So the ambulance slammed on its brakes, barely missing the schmuck. The guy panics and tries to pull off the road and into a parking lot. In the process he jumps the curb and pops one of his tires. The ambulance drove around him and continued to its intended destination. No one was hurt, and the guy got what he deserved. I wish more drivers got what they deserved in LA. Makes me want to become the Car Vigilante I thought of when I lived in SF.
