I feel guilty for using SG to post angstified drama (I know.. thats what my LiveJournal is for) but I just got done talking with a good friend from college and it brought me back to this feeling i've had for.. oh.. the last 3 years.
I chose a shit college.
I mean truly.
I dove right into a truly crappy college.
I could have charmed or Legacy'd my way into Northwestern, or Washington and Lee. I could have sex'd my way into Duke or U of M or the UCWI in Mona, Jamaica.
My SAT/ACT scores and history of alcoholism would have been enough to get into most schools.
But instead I forsook all other schools for an island in a sea of corn, B.U., in the frozen desert wastelend of Peoria (which no healthy folk visit).
Many of you SG people seem intelligent and rather funny, where (if anywhere) did you decide to go to college, and what did you find, and did you learn to communicate using anything other than long only-semi-related run on sentances???
I hope your schools weren't all smoke-and-mirrors places, pretty from the outside, ugly from the inside, beautiful Japanese-tree lined roads which to stink to no end cuz they imported the wrong 'gender' of tree....
I guess in the end I was just a bad consumer. I should have shopped around. I shoulda compared. I should have bought all the parts and built the damned thing at home.

That's putting it mildly.
