It is nearly the end of the quarter. I am full of dread and stress.

I give a presentation on Magnetic Susceptibility on Thursday. Freakishly, I am more excited than nervous about giving it, but racked with anxiety about getting it prepared in time. The last part isn't freakish, but the first part is. At least for me.

Dang, you live faaaaaaar now!

So, yeah, I was looking at other Miatas, but I think I'm stuck with this one for a while unfortunately. Mechanically it's totally sound, I've just had a lot of bad luck with it. frown
sloane:
Oh fuck.

OMG, I waaaaaaaaaant it.

Hey, are you back from Hawaii or wherever yet? Philly took the NFC East and is playing the Giants (again) for a wild card slot on Sunday @ 1:30. Big Wang's? Charley's? Anywhere?
sloane:
Yo! Chrismukkah was, you know, the usual. It went by fast, though. How about yours?

And guess what? Philly won yesterday, so we're still in the playoffs! Next game is on Sat. at 5pm - you busy? We're playing New Orleans who we maaaaaaaaay beat, but probably not. Last time we played them was that time you got hell of drunk at Wangs and we lost by a field goal. And that was with McNabb. And if we do beat them, then we play whoever wins the Chicago v. Seattle game this weekend, which will be Chicago, who will beat us. The moral of this story is that we will not be in the Super Bowl, so let us enjoy the good times while we still have them!

My Super Bowl prediction: Chicago v. San Diego, San Diego wins. We'll see!

I think I've averaged about 4 hours of Gears of War a day since I bought it, and that's just multiplayer. The game is fucking sweet, and if you need someone to play with look for MaximusThrax. If I'm on, I'm game. However, I've got an unrelated and funny story to post about today...

I overslept on Monday. By an hour and a half. Fortunately,...

School's back on.

Quantum Mechanics looks like it's going to be the easiest class this quarter. Well, maybe not easiest, but the one which will require the least amount of time. I'm in a couple of lab classes, which should be fun - I even get to wear a lab coat! (No, it's not black. They don't come in black, AFAIK - if I'm wrong,...

You're shaping up into a nice little Eagles fan! tongue

I didn't stay at Wang's very long... Douche Sac was there with a friend and they were meeting up with some girls that his friend knew and I didn't want to cock block, so I bailed and went to Charley's, where I got so drunk that I proceeded to pass out sitting up in a chair.

Excellent to meet you.

Dude, hell has clearly frozen over. I don't know what's happening to me. I think I'm possessed. You are welcome to join me at Wang's anytime for Sunday football, if you're feeling craaazy! I may not be there this week, since my boys are playing Monday. But most Sundays I am there.

So... how'd it go? I hope not too poorly. However it went it couldn't have been worse than last weekend for me, so take comfort in that.

It also can't be worse than what I'm about to do April 2nd. But... maybe it could be. I don't know. I hope you did well, because you are smart and competent and deserve to do well.

If I move to LA can we hang out?
sloane:
So, you're all done! How was it?

Okay, now we have a real excuse to party (not that I ever need one) and according to my calculations I owe y'all approx 999999999999999 drinks and some food. And candy (aka non-food).

Oh wait, we have TWO excuses to party because The Fluxor got her first paycheck from the new jobby today.

How 'bout it?

Well, I'm still alive, and back to posting, it appears - and none too soon. Finals start on monday, and don't take too long, which leaves me with an extra long spring break - like, 12 days instead of 9 - and a lot of stress before I get to enjoy it. So I'm here, "studying" for finals, but mostly being distracted by topless women - both those on the site and those out by the pool, who've apparently decided that I need not study chemistry.

What have I been doing instead of posting? If you've been reading Flux's journal, this is a recap:

I got Steel Battalion for Valentines Day, which has proved to be both iincredibly fun and stressful, as death in the game results in deletion of your save. Ouch.

I saw Bullit at midnight at the Nuart Theater with Scopitone and Flux, which reminded me that Steve McQueen can be awesome even wearing paisley pajamas.

Gran Turismo 4 came out. That's like a straight week right there.

Finally saw Hell in the Pacific, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Paint your Wagon, The Killers ('64). Also saw Susperia, which was pretty damn good. Showed the lady Hard Boiled, Zoolander and Brain Candy. Re-watched Thunderball and Never Say Never Again. All those movies are worth watching, though NSNA mostly for comedic value.

I thought about updating sever times, but didn't.

I helped my brother move into a new apartment near USC.

Went and watched turtle racing at Brennans in Culver City. Apparently, they webcast it. Gamble at home!

Despite the very sacrilege that is a grill without fire, I have purchased a Lean Mean Fat Red...etc. from Target, and have come to love it despite the way it turns burning meat into something more like microwaving popcorn than building a bonfire. More on this later, maybe.

This is probably my longest journal entry ever. Possibly also worst-written.
