Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm proud to say that I am no longer a homeless vagabond drifting all over Brisbane. No more crashing on couches, no more rude awakenings, and no more using enviro-bags as sock and underwear drawers for me - I was accepted for a new place and moved in the day I signed the lease. Some SGers would be familiar with my new flatmate, miss _Indigo_, who I haven't really had the chance to get to know, as she went off on a holiday two days after I moved in, but I'm sure given some time we'll get on like a house on fire.
I'm writing this from my folk's place up on the Sunshine Coast, where I've been since Saturday night. Easter was uneventful, didn't do much and I've spent most of the time either helping around the house or using the Internet, something I don't get to do much anymore.
Ah, Internets. As much as I love my new place, I have to say it: I'm not a fan of wireless Internet - not yet, at least. Right now it falls into the category of things I don't fully understand, and as a result since I moved into my new place I haven't had Internet access, despite having the hardware to tap into the signal. It'd be a bit rude to ask for help as I don't know the majority of my friends on here, but at the risk of being a dick I could use a few pointers. Other than that and AGS still not having a drummer , I must admit that things are sweet.
I'm listening to You Fail Me by Converge, and I'd forgotten how awesome it is, which is pretty stupid of me.
I should be coming home tomorrow. The simple fact that I can call it 'home' and not '(insert friend's name here)'s place' is pretty awesome. It's nice to have that feeling back.
