I am currently in the guest room of my friend/bandmate's house, where I'm temporarily living until I find a place of my own. I'd be up shit's creek and without a paddle had it not been for him letting me stay here. Still, I must admit that this living arrangement, temporary as it may be has its fair share of frustration - namely, sometimes I feel more like a misbehaved pet than a guest thanks to my friend's girlfriend. She moves my stuff around whenever she wants, uses it without asking, and just today I was woken up by her dropping a pile of it in front of my door. I can tell she doesn't want me here, which I guess is her right, but when I'm doing my best to be a model housemate, pay rent on time and do tons of stuff around the house to earn my keep I don't see how her actions are in line with my own. Whatever. With any luck I won't have to stay here for much longer.
I've been to tons of sweet shows recently... Minus The Bear, Iron Maiden (HOLT SHIT) plus heaps of local stuff. For those of you into punk in its various forms, Brisbane is absolutely exploding with good music, so if you live here do yourself a favor and venture out to some shows if you haven't already.
AGS is still short a drummer, despite us trying another guy out. He'd never heard us prior to our jam, struggled to play along to us or even match our tempos, and when we gave him a copy of our demo he called a few days later and said he wasn't keen to play with us. Big loss there.
Other than that, I'm currently waiting for a band to get back to me about me singing for them. I'd love to be a part of a band and just doing vocals, I can see it being much less of a stress event than what I've been doing for, oh, eight years or so.
As you were, internets.
