Merry Christmas! Personally I'm not the religious type, but today's been fun regardless - plenty of beer & wine, catch-ups with the family, and general lazing around - something that's extremely welcome after being busy all month at work. Every year work pushes me to the breaking point thanks to rude Christmas shoppers and stress, then when the day comes I'm snatched back from the brink and given a chance to chill out. This year has been no different, so at the moment I'm pretty content. I hope everyone else is feeling that way too, if not better.

The band needs a drummer again, but I'm not beating myself up about it - if anything, this forced break is giving me time to come up with new material that's way, way more discordant and interesting than our current setlist. As cool as melody and structure is, I'm over it - I wanna do something original and truly heavy/fucked up. Really keen for Leo to come back from holiday and start writing with me again.

The Police next month, Iron Maiden the month after that, and sometime during the year Ampere will be paying Australia a visit, so it looks like once again we're in for a great year of tours. Really looking forward to it.
