Another long day of work ahead of me Yay!! It's funny how one can go from being completely excited about work, to six months later, "Aw, do I have to?" Well, right now I'm still loving it. We've got MORE food today, and I think blush wines. I love my blush wines, and Olive Garden's Principato Blush is awesome It's gonna be fun. I don't go in today until 3pm, so I've had plenty of time to do whatever... Too bad I slept through it all
Yeah, I slept. Last night I was exhausted after work and coming home to see my b/f, and by ten o'cock I was about ready for sleep. I took four sleeping pills instead of the regular two, hoping the overdose would do me good. We went to bed at like ten thirty, and I just woke up like half an hour ago (it is currently 1pm). So, yeah, four does good
I was having a weird dream about werewolves. Which is weird, because I haven't watched any movies or read any books or anything that have had anything to do with werewolves, but this is the second dream this week. Oh yeah, that reminds me, I was going to go look in my dream dictionary. Maybe if I cna attach a book meaning, I'll stop dreaming about the damn werewolves. It was wierd. In this one, I was trying to save myself, and my puppies. I was at my dad's house, and my puppy was in the basement. Somehow, so was her sister Kayli (who I don't own, she lives in Suffolk), and I was trying desperately to make sure they were ok down there while I was trying to lock all the windows through my dad's whole house. Now, normally I would think werewolves could go through windows, but apparently only if you forget to lock them.
So kiddies, I guess the moral of the story is: Always lock your windows and doors, and you won't have to worry about werewolves.
Going to refill my coffee and grab my dream dictionary... Your hold music today is "Away From Me" by Evanescence.
Good ol' trusty dream dictionary says: (And this is every possible one I can think to look up based on my dream...)
Wolves- "...can symbolize the savagery of uncontrolled impulses in our unconscious, threatening to destroy the dreamer's first fragile spiritual notions....ect."
(Me...uncontrolled impulses? Never... *cough cough*)
Wild Beasts- "...can evoke for Freud people in an excited sensual state. They may also represent our animal instincts and repressed emotions we may keep caged in the unconscious."
(Still thinking about sex, huh? Surely it couldn't be me...)
Hiding in the house- "A symbol of the self, the house often more specifically represents the body...At a mental level, a house all shuttered up can suggest that we are blind to what is going on in the outside world."
(AAAAAAAH!! I'm BLIND!!!!! Oh, wait, it was a dream.)_
Windows- "...offer a view of the outside world."
(There's werewolves in my outside world? Uh-oh.)
Being Chased- "... could point to feelings of paranoia or persecution that may be pushing us towards the edge; more generally such a dream may stand for certain unpalatable aspects of our personality which are usually repressed but demand to be dealt with.
(...so let me get this straight. So far, either there are werewolves in my outside world demanding to be dealt with while I'm blind and defenseless? I think they can deal with themselves.)
Fear of the Unseen- "Not knowing what is out there in the darkness is perhaps the most universal of all anxiety dreams. It is experienced particularly frequent among people embarking on a course of psychoanalysis or any other therapy that will reveal hitherto unexamined areas of the self..." (Like looking up dreams in a dictionary?)
"...Like conscious terror of the dark, such dreams may be rooted in ancient fears acquired when our primordial ancestors were prey to large, nocturnal carnivores."
(Well, DUH, the werewolves outside my widows waiting to prey on me while I'm blind.)
In case you were wondering, all of these came from '1,001 Dreams' by Jack Altman.
So, that's my dream. It might mean I'm afraid of the unknown (I'm constantly worrying about what's going to happen when my credit card companies get tired of trying to collect from me, I'm always worried about whether or not my b/f and I will stay together, and now I'm worried about the whole house thing not matter how great it is.)
I worry too much, and that might be what my dream was trying to tell me, too. Or maybe it's telling me I think about sex too much (is that even possible?)
Who knows? Doesn't really matter, but it's fun to look up stuff. Especially when it's for really wierd dreams, like trying to escape werewolves by locking the windows. Or, I had this dream once where I was in the shower with this guy, and he shaved my legs, then we had sex, then he smoked a cigarette in the shower (with the water running and everything), that was really fun to look up.
I do like dissecting dreams, I think there are a lot of things to be learned as long as you know what you're looking for. Dreams are one of the only things controlled by our minds that we have absolutely no control over, so it's interesting to see what they're telling us.
So, how is everyone? What did you dream about last night?

Damn me for living in non-America land? Uh ... no ... try the other way around silly girl. LOL. Damn you for living in that weird Oz land. But yeah ... it would be cool to chill and drink Zin - especially Gallo. Nummers.
Yes - sex and masturbation. That is ALL I will allow you to use to get to sleep. Enjoy. LOL
But I do understand ... there was a lil while in my life where I got 2-3 hours nightly and nothing else. It kinda sucked.
You use Tide? *spanks her* You heathen.
And what do I do? Haul shit around ... clean up cardboard and garbage ... haul more shit ... sit around and try to look busy ... more cardboard ... more hauling ... etc.
You wear underwear? Freak.
I wouldn't say it is weird you've never left the Country. I've only been out of Ontario twice in my life - Calgary and New York.
The movie was called What the Bleep Do We Know. It's all quantum physics based. And my second cousin is a big-bust adult model. I didn't think too many people would know the reference.
Yes, I've lived in Toronto my whole life ... and I can't imagine living anywhere else. Oh - and I live with my parents ... hence why I smoke pot ... 'cause they are really annoying.
And taa-daa ... me done.
Thanks for the dream definitions. I think that dream is one for the shrink (if I ever get to the point where I need one). It's definitely a fucked up dream.
Alright, I've gotta get to bed.
Later.
