So, I'm back.
Vacation was very nice. Exactly what I needed, even. My boyfriend and I spent a glorious two weeks doing nothing but laying by the pool, reading, watching some tv, catching up on sleep...
That is exactly what vacations are for.
We spent one day at Discovery Cove swimming with dolphins, snorkeling through reefs filled with way-too-friendly fish, feeding birds in the aviaries, and wandering around the park. I have to say, it was one of the most fun days I've had in a long time. Our dolphin's name was Thema, she was a cutie. They're more friendly, and way more intelligent up close than I imagined them to be. She had very human eyes, she really seemed to be studying us all as we watched her go through her routine. All in all, it was a great time.
We spent another day at Seaworld, this was our second time there. Even having been there before, it was thoroughly enjoyable. It's hard not to have fun when you're surrounded by all the unique wildlife. It's hard to pick a favorite, but the sharks and the penguins were probably on the top of my list. Although, the pirate show with the otters, and sea lions was ridiculously cute
Not much other than that. I really just caught up on my reading, and spent some time with family.
Going back to work was nice, I felt loved. I went in yesterday to check my schedule (which is the same as always) and everyone seemed thrilled that I was back. The manager gave me a big hug, the bartender made me a taste of the new drink he was making and wanted my suggestions, everyone kept saying "Yay! Heather's back!"
It's nice to feel needed.
One last note: why can't some people take a hint? I have a stalker. Every couple months, he tracks me down again. Sigh... some people never learn.
