I know, I know... I keep writing really short and concise updates, nothing in-depth like normal. I just haven't felt like really taking the time.
So, here's another one
I'm sick. I hate being sick, but I've been sick a couple times this year. I think I've got it down to a science now, though. Drink hot clear fluids (hot chai tea, at the moment) take lots of medicine, oodles of vitamins, and ride it out. It's ok, I really like this tea, and it was worth getting sick to discover it. Chocolate Caramel Chai Tea by Celestial Seasons. Yum
I still hate being sick. My chest hurts, and it's scarey to breathe. At every breath, I feel like if I don't take it super slow, and shallow... I'm going to start coughing. My chest feels like someone took a can of that funky yellow insulation stuff, shoved it down my throat, and told me to take a deep breath. Not very pleasant. I know it will go away eventually, but until then I'm going to bitch about it.
Oh!! Here's a pleasant thing: I called in sick to work, and all they said was, "Feel better soon madam."
It's not an every day thing for me to call in, and I was worried that they would tell me to come in anyways, or try to argue, but... nope. Maybe she could tell that I felt so sick I wanted to cry (and I did, a couple times).
Gotta go get a chai tea refill. You're going to have to try this stuff...
All righty, so where to go next...
I went to a wedding for a friend of mine from high school on Saturday, that was fun. They are the most ridiculously cute, made-for-each-other couple I've ever seen. He's like 6'4, she's like 5'2, and they fit together like you wouldn't believe, just cute. They've been together like five years now, so it was nice to see them finally tie the knot.
The wedding was fun, I got there early for breakfast with the bride-to-be and our best friend, and the three of us spent the rest of the day together. We had a long relaxed (well, the bride relaxed as much as she could relax, with being married in five hours hanging over her head...) and then she headed off to the hotel to meet her parents, and my friend and I went to check on her baby. He's gettin' so big!!!!! I swear, he gets bigger every time I see him.
So, from there, we met up with the bride at the hotel, and all got ready. That took a couple hours, of course
She was a beautiful bride. She's one of those way too practical people, who bought her dress because she could "throw a demi jacket over it later and wear it as a cocktail dress." but, it was perfect for her. ASfter she was all done up, she was gorgeous.
So, then the wedding happened. The bride and groom were both athiest, so the wedding was a lot of fun. It was nice to see something different. After the ceremony, we spent the next 5 hours drinking wine (her parents bought enough for two bottles per person, so... plenty
) and trying to have fun on the dance floor even though there were only like a dozen of us dancing.
I caught the bouquet
That was funny, and I wasn't really expecting it. I'm one of the last of my friends not to be married yet (and, at 22!! Kids these days...) so the bride told me she was going to aim for me. Her mom noticed, and made us all shuffle like four times after the bride turned around. Still, she threw it and it came like right at me. I jumped for it, and didn't fall out of my strapless dress. *pats self on back*
Next, the garter. The groom pulled it half off with his hans, then everyone was yelling at him to do it right, so he took it the rest of the way off with his teeth.
Funny.
So, he thros the gater, and the bride's little cousin catches it. I'm not good at guessing the age of kids, but he was definitely not any older than like seven, eight tops.
Tradition now states that the guy who catches the garter has to put it on the thigh of the girl who caught the bouquet. The little kid isn't really sure what's going on, the parents tell him he's supposed to put it on my wrist, like a bracelet. So, I'm sitting in the chair, and he walks up obviously terrified (am I so scarey?), sticks it on my wrist, looks up at me, and runs away. Like, bolted off the floor to who knows where. I was laughing so hard I was crying
So, after things started dying down, me and the maid of honor went up and decorated the honeymoon suite with all the necessary essentials for a good first night, including a whole box of blown up condoms. Don't worry, we left them an un-opened box, too
All in all, it was loads of fun.
So... not much else. The pets are all doing well, getting bigger all the time. My angel fish are doing really well, they have six live plants that are blooming like crazy, but the tank is gorgeous, crystal clear. Everything else is good.
Guitar is going fairly well, if I do say so myself. I think I'm getting better
It just doesn't seem like I can move my fingers fast enough sometimes!! I'll get there. It's still fun
So, there's my update. I'm going to go drink my fabulous tea, and take a long shower to steam open my sinuses...

That's funny.
Oh to be young and afraid of women.
I wondered if I did something like that now what kind of reaction would I get...I might have to test out this theory. So, I hope you feel better. One of the remedies my grams liked to give me was hot tea and honey, and sometimes a scouch of rum, which might explain why I'm such a rum fanatic. I'm glad to here your guitar work is coming along nicely. I always have trouble making the stretch for most of the cords.
