I'm Pagan, I'm tired of people thinking that's wrong, and that they can change me...
My dad's wife sent me an email. She started out with the typical, "Hi, how have you been?" and ended with "Please click this link, promise me you'll at least look at it."
Please, for the purpose of following along, click the link.
This bugs me. I really, really, hate it when people tell me that my faith is based on lies and demons. I don't talk shit about other people's religion, I don't care what you believe in. I will talk theology all day long, but the second you tell me that I'm being led astray by Satan... we're done.
So, I sent her an email, politely telling her to keep her mouth shut. Over-kill? I don't think so.
...
I did read the link, because you asked. But, I'm not going to revert back to Christianity. The more I learn in life, the less I believe in it. Let me explain it for you.
For one, no one will ever convert me by trying to press
their religion on me. Religion is based on belief, and
faith. These are the two most important things!! Without
them, nothing will ever be solid.
I don't believe in Christianity as the only way
to think (like so many try to tell me). I don't believe in
the Bible the way you do. I think it's a great book, it has
lots of good lessons in it, and is a great tool for
teaching morals. But, I don't think it's 100% fact. I'm not
going to waste my life searching for things I don't believe in, based on a book I don't believe in.
I already know what I believe! I have more faith
in my beliefs than you know, obviously, or you wouldn't try to press your faith on me.
I believe in the energy that is in everything, the energy
that is in us and everything around us, this energy is God. It is not male; it is both masculine and feminine: God and Goddess. I believe in will power, and in using the energy around me to get what I want. Call it prayer, call it spells, call it what you will, but I believe people get what they want because they want it so badly and believe they can get it, not because it has been granted to them.
God is more of an idea than a man sitting in the clouds.
I don't believe in heaven or hell; the idea of
afterlife just doesn't hold water for me. I believe in
reincarnation: energy recycling itself, the way it always
has. I believe that souls are a form of energy, and they
make us who we are, but they are always changing. Energy can not be created nor distroyed, only changed...
I believe in evolution, not creationism. It only makes
sense that things progress based on the way they need to survive. We all change, every day, to do what is best for our survival. This evolution has been going on for
thousands of years, and will continue till the end of time.
I know you mean well, but please don't push your
faith on me. I don't try to push mine on you. Nothing you say will change my mind, because nothing you say makes any sense to me. I know you believe in it, but it's all fiction to me.
Please just keep your opinions to yourself :-)

Praise Be to the FSM!
I believe in god, but frankly I have no clue what he's doing. It's like he's a little kid with a science experiment and he's decided to play a passive role and see how things turn out, and frankly I don't understand it.
How can someone adverstise a product that they don't fully understand especially christianity. They try to push the bible as the end all be all but, the bible may have been divinely inspired but, it was edited by man. God didn't decide who made the cut, if he did then there wouldn't be dead sea scrolls. Some people believe that the bible is 100% fact then, what happened to the accounts of the followers of jesus that recorded his more mundane behavior...simply edited out and buried in a cave alongside the other original manuscripts. Yet, I don't see christanity up in arms trying to reclaim what's been lost. It seems a half truth is better than a whole. "Why is there enough religion to incite war's but not enough to teach tolerance." Why did christianity declare 13 crusade to push there belief on to other people. Why have more people died under the flag of the cross then under any other national flag. Why does christans celebrate halloween, don't they know the wearing of mask is part of All Soul's day and has nothing to All Hallow's day. Why do they celebrate christmas in december when biblical accounts point to jesus being born closer to Easter. Why put up a christmas tree, don't they know that they are just absorbing a observance to an older holiday dedicated to the sun god. I don't knock anyone's religion but, simply stated. "People in glass house's shouldn't throw stones."
