All my updates seem to come under the heading 'life'.
We've moved into the new house!
I had my reservations at first, but it's growing on me very quickly. We slept here for the first time last Thursday, after moving the large bits like the sofa and wardrobes. Then on Friday, we moved the cats over - that instantly made it feel more like home. Home is a concept I stuggle with a bit, having moved around a lot both as a kid and an adult, but Bristol is starting to feel like home and this house is part of that.
This weekend we've taken it fairly easy. We've still got stuff to bring over from the flat and then we need to clean it top to bottom so we get our full deposit back, which is then going towards the wedding. We got the rings last week, so I was pretty eager to get the home insurance transferred over to the new place and to their credit they made it really easy. The broadband people were really good too - they were here for about 5 mins and it was all up and running.
So in the absense of any money, (we had to pay a final month's rent on the old place as well as a month in advance plus deposit plus agency fees on the new place,) I've been playing a lot of Fallout 3, which I have decided is my favourite game ever. It's so engrossing and has all the best bit of a decent 1st person shooter, combined with the best parts of an in depth RPG. I did get Obvilion a while back but never really got into it. It was so open ended, it was a bit overwhelming, but this one Fallout 3 is really good. I'm pretty far on now and looking forward to seeing the end of the story, but it'll be a while yet as there are loads of side quests to do and still loads to explore. My only problem now is that Pinklet is also playing it and has become addicted to it as well and has spent most of the day playing it - I haven't had a look in since yesterday!
