Lots and lots has been going on. I'm just barely able to keep up, but at the end of the day I'm enjoying that it's all happening.
Had my last swim lesson this past week. I can do flip turns now. (!!!!) And I think I'm nearing the point with the butterfly where it starts to be a buff-ifying stroke.
I took a feminist friend to Hooters in midtown 9'cuz I'm charming like that), and the service was horrible. And fuck you, the wings weren't all that great, either.
My local produce stand had Minneolas, which I'd never heard of, but they looked like big tangerines (which I love), so I grabbed a bunch of them. Unbelievable. They really are just big tangerines. It's a bitch to get the skin off of them, but they're all juicy and SEEDLESS!!!. What a payoff.
I head to Miami on Tuesday for the Winter Music Conference. I've got to squeeze in as much schmoozing as I can, because this time I've actually got something to sell. More on what that is probably in the next month when absolutely everything is ready. The closest thing I can compare my anxiety about this trip to is just before your first days in high school or college, when your number-one worry is how and whether people are going to accept you. Or even listen to you, for that matter. <sigh>
But at the very *least*, I'll get a tan out of it.
