I've not quoted from Lolita in a while because I've had so little time to read more of it. This stood out to me:
"There is nothing wrong... say when a brute of forty, blessed by the local priest and bloated with drink, sheds his sweat-drenched finery and thrusts himself up to the hilt into his youthful bride."
Just a few days ago someone called me "a goddamned social butterfly".
I'm not going to pretend.
Guilty.
I planned on staying in this whole week. I honestly did. Somehow that turned into going out every single night except Wednesday.
You know, because... who goes out on Wednesday??
Of late I've been working a lot from home, so mornings haven't been an issue, plus I live in New York City. There'll be plenty of time for sitting around and not doing anything interesting when I move out to the suburbs or retire or something. Not now.

I'd never sleep if I lived in NYC. Seriously. It's probably great for me that nothing goes on here after 3 am for the most part. You're lucky.
