"There may have been times...when I had brought up for detached inspection the idea of marrying a mature widow with not one relative left in the wide gray world, merely in order to have my way with her child (Lo, Lola, Lolita).
...I saw myself administering a powerful sleeping potion to both mother and daughter so as to fondle the latter through the night with perfect impunity."
Nabokov's a sick motherfucker. I'm loving it.
I'm in Atlanta, in the middle of a two week stint away from home for work. Last week was summarily uninteresting. I racked up the billable hours, though, which is great when there's nothing to do otherwise. Made it into the ATL on Saturday, where I was promptly whisked to the SGATL Christmas party. That was a great, wonderfully drunken time, which ended the proper way...
at the Waffle House. Thanks, Lollercoaster, you sexy bitch, you!

Lolita is a masterpiece. It's been a while since I've read it but I envy all of Nabokov's students at Stanford back in the day. Imagine that guy teaching your lit class!
