My new profile pic is actually a photo from a year ago, I just like it better with glowing red eyes, you know, in the spirit of the season... OF THE WITCH!!! Oohh, I'm going to watch so many thousands of horror movies over the next month, it's going to rule.
Since the dawn of You Tube, my attention span has gotten even SHORTER. Can... Read More

I love the old Elton John songs. Seriously, if I could sing anything, I would like to sing old stuff like "Levon" in karaoke. I can't hit the high notes, though. Every song has at least some parts that are too high for me. I can't do 'em at karaoke, but I yell the hell out of them in the car.
I hesitate to say I have a favorite, I have a dozen, but if I had to, I suppose "Daniel." People might assume it's about gay love, since -it's Elton- but, of course, Taupin writes the words, and it's really about a guy feeling sympathy for a Vietnam vet friend. But yknow, there's "Levon," "Someone Saved My Life Tonight," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," "Tiny Dancer," "Rocket Man"... I think the most underrated from that era is probably "Madman Across the Water." Great song, and Bruce Hornsby did a great cover of it.
November? My birthday? YAY! I won't be here for our Halloween party. I decided to fuck off to NY, then Mexico with Bob for Day of the Dead. There are these Mexican guys who are flying us both down so Bob can give a seminar. Cool! I have to work my ass off to make sure the issue is OK before I leave (it's the last week of production on the Dec issue when I split!) but it will be worth it.
I usually don't tell people about my work stuff through this website, but seeing as there's actually a few nice people I've met through this place (you know who you are, and you all rule), I thought I'd share.
I'm going to be doing this awesome handmade craft event called Feltclub at the Echo on September 10. YAY! I went to the last one at... Read More
My friend Andy was at this neighbourhood record shop and bought a blank test press 7" in their ??? box on a whim. He's always up for anything as far as a fresh piece of vinyl goes... I don't think we were prepared for what it turned out to be.
It's a test press 7" of Catherine Wheel's "Eat my dust you insensitive fuck", and... Read More
So yeah, had a tough day. But ended it right by going to see Brett Dennen play a set in this guitar shop called "Plucker's Paradise" with friends. If you can stand the jazz hands that appear at his shows, you'll be blown away by his voice and his musical ability, his writing. I think he's swell. If you go to his website you'll see... Read More
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you! I am allergic to cats or I would import one to try and get rid of schmousie. Sadly, it seems he/she has struck again. I don't think that I am rid of this mouse. I just have to hang in there until I move in like April or so. I hope I can do it!
