"people don't want the truth"
i think the above quote of one of my favorite that i've come up with. of course it's quite likely that someone else said it and my subconscious is just passing it off as my own.
well, what's new in my little world. last thuresday started out really shitty like. i had a quiz in geography that i didn't study...

Hey, yeah, hairiness rocks.
Other things you said: I agree as well. No time to chat now, but in the future we shall.

these are some sample poems from my new zine, 'loss and regret'
god laying naked on a summer day
immortal skin flesh pride
bleeding through secreated lies
deserts of time and decay
sly,
under lizard skin covers
all this on the tongue fo the poet
pretentious?
yes, i think so

the coldest it ever gets
is between two lovers

well for one thing, i had to interview prisoners for my social reseach class. it was pretty interesting, though i didn't like how it took up two evenings of my time. when we got in the prison, the inmated were all banging on the windows and shouting at us. it was pretty funny and i felt a little...

That musta been a wierd experience.
It is a wierd idea to bunch together criminals and hope they can be reformed, but I dont think that's really the priority of the prison industry.
One thing I thought about prisons recently was that, because it's such a business now, the prison industry surely can't want to see less criminals come in and out? Like most industry's, they'd proberly like to see more prisoners? I mean, there's a lot of jobs involved in it all, so they'd proberly get a lot of trouble if there was a sudden drop in the number of inmates and they had to let go workers.
Eh, it was just a random thought.
Ah, I dont like the idea of poetry in competion. It's wierd. A friend went in for a similar thing one night, and it was really cool to hear he did well, but it always seems wrong that art should compete like that. You should be proud of what you create, sure, but to be given gorunds to say "this is better than that" it's horrible.
I haven't read much poetry, but now I'm reading a lot more than I used to I'd be interested in reading some more poetry. Would you reccomend anything?
I just wanted to drop a comment to say I got your mix CD in the SG CD swap today. I've listened to it a few times today and it's really good! I liked most of the people on it already, but maybe some I hadn't listened to some of them that much - and though I've been meaning to I've never gotten around to hearing Swans so it was really cool to have a track by them. Thanks very much for putting together such a great CD!
*appologies if this post is a bit uncoherent, but I'm tired*

let's see, what's happened to me this week. i went to a noise show at the record store up the street. the following bands played: EMIL BEAULIEAU/CRANK STURGEON/PRURIENT. Emil was especially good and was also a really nice guy. props must be given to Crank for wearing nothing but a weird bird hood, a tube running from his croch to his neck and nothing else....

I'd heard that was a good movie. I'll have to add it to my Netflix queue now, while I'm thinking about it. Thanks for the recommendation.
Love your name, by the way.

yep, I've passed out bands' flyers before, personally, it's not my idea of fun. It's especially discouraging to bug people for hours and then turn around and see all the flyers you just handed out lying on the floor...
One time I was hanging out at the library (what? yeah, before I had a PC I used to hang out at the library, weird huh). I was looking around the "UFOs" section, quietly geeking out. When around the corner walked a beautiful asian girl. Did I say beautiful? She was the most strikingly gorgeous girl I'd ever seen stroll down an aisle of library books HOOHAH! And she was walking toward me... And smiling! Whoah. She held a stack of flyers in one hand. She said in heavily accented english "Do you know Tai Chi?"
"uhhhhh, Tai Chi? This is UFOs... ummm, er..."
"Do you want to learn Tai Chi?"
"Are you going to teach me Tai Chi?"
She smiled and handed me a flyer... Tai Chi lessons.
"Are you going to be there?" I asked.
"My Father teaches the class, I'm there too."
"Yeah, I've always wanted to learn Tai Chi!"
Long story short, she had a boyfriend, but it was... a cool episode.

after rolling out of bed and playing atari for an hour this morning, i decided to go to Apop, a cool little record store here in CoMo. while i was looking through some stuff, the owners asked me if i'd be willing to flyer for them at the majongg show. i didn't really know what the band sounded like but they played some stuff by them and i thought for a free show, why the hell not. i picked up some band called 'black girls' for a buck that ended up being a pleasent surprise. guitar, piano, and violin, very tori amos style. violins make anything better. the blatz/filth split lp was pretty nice too.
on my way home i realized that the draw back was that i'd have to be social, apporach people i didn't know, and hand them quarter sheets. shit. oh well, i set my own trap and it's still a free show. i was thinking of seeing what some friends were up to tonight but had a sneaking suspicion that i wouldn't get ahold of them as usuall. i told my roommate about the deal and he commented that 'they' must like me. i thought about this for a while. that could be true, maybe the owners do like me. they seem pretty cool, but i'm not sure what they think of me. the other possibility is that they really hate me and are doing this to gain my trust. slowly, they will keep being nice to me until i feel secure and comfortable around them. then, one night i'll end following them down a dark alley and they'll bash my head in with a brick and suck out my brains. time will tell, and i need to get ready.
