Things are all kinds of odd for me right now. I've strongly been thinking about leaving the site, for various reasons. I'm setting up a myspace account as we speak so that I can keep track of all the awesome people I've met here (HUGE shout out to 1st nations!)).

Then again, I know for a fact that a friend of mine is considering getting...

I'm thinking of opening a MYSPACE account to keep up with all the cool people leaving this site. MYSPACE seems like a teeny-bopper free-for-all, even worse than this site can be sometimes.

Then again, I guess I don't have to mingle.

Just checkin' up on ya. wink

I'm making the appointment to get my ink done tonight. How's it feel to be responsible for something that is going to be on a person's body for life? And not once, but twice now! Heheheh.

Hope things are good.

Looks like everything turned out okay for my people. I feel awful for the people further east who got it instead. frown

That new hurricane is headed straight for people I care about. And a place that means so, so much to me. And it's going to uproot the NOLA folk again. frown

Go away stupid Rita! mad

Update: One set of family just called to say they've left Galveston. Another called to say that they can't leave yet. My parents are futher north, but they're scrambling to get...

I donated a few bags of clothes and boxes of stuff today. Anything I don't wear regularly went. I have one pair of super-comfy, nice, Columbia flip flops, so I donated all the rest of my flip-flop/sandal type shoes.

When I got home, my shoe broke. Figures.

Guess I'll be going back to my Docs early this year.

Update: I just got my karma reward:...

On my dating-status-thingie over there <-----, I just changed my smoking thing from "'I'm quitting'" to "nope." I quit cold turkey a couple of months ago and haven't looked back.

Then again, I've done that a couple of times. But this is the first time I've done it for myself. In the past, it was always because the off-season was over and my coach and/or...

thanks for all your suggestions. I will keep you updated, if I may.

on the authors, I chose them because I like the way both write, I like the fact that they both satarize their own perspective culture. I have to some how prove that either author is a perfect example of a post modernist author.
without actually saying, jonathan coe is a postmodernist author because he chooses to use a plethora of different writing styles, and brings other fictional mediums into his work. This can be seen in....

so..Im stressing. but am just looking at options presently.
thanks again, sorry to bore you.

I used to believe that intentions were important. Now I'm starting to see the merit of the phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions."

A man yells something at a woman walking down the street. She feels demeaned and objectified. He says, "but it was just a compliment, get over it!"

The US government steals its land from the tribes who lived...

This group may interest you.

Being passive when others are spouting ignorance is perpetuating it and makes you in some way condone it.

I think it's all bullshit... racism and the lack of respect for gays and lesbians.

The problem is that I say dyke and call myself a faghag and it's hard to tell someone else not to say it because they are saying it in a "bad" way.

*shrug*

What should we do about the idiots in the group? I think I may start a thread and say that I'm cleaning house... and if you want to be a part of the group then you must post.

Your thoughts?

I think we need to take it back... it's ours afterall. Let them call us Indian givers if they want... as long as they do it outside of our group.

I love lazy summer days. I've spent most of the day so far in the sun, nekkid, with beer and a good book. Life don't get much better. biggrin

Anyone else a fan of lying in the sun whilst in a state of complete undress?

My skin has become delicate, I think.

But nekkid Works for Me(TM) anyway.
scarredangel:
Being in a state of unemployment, nekkid by the pool sounds pretty good.
And yes, UTA is looking like the main option right now. I'll probably wait till spring, however.

I leave in 11 days. I am not sure as I have no plans once I get there. It's pretty much fly out and find a ride to the rez. *shrugs shoulders* so If you wanna meet up that would be really cool. Do you have a way I can contact you?

It's really strange but I feel a case of adulthood coming on. How will drunken posting sprees fit into that?
