I just finished watching A Scanner Darkly. I kind of wish I hadn't. It wasn't bad. I liked the style, though I hope it doesn't catch on. But it wasn't nearly as great as the book. Someday, someone is going to adapt a pkd book as well as they did with Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, and I'll die by self defecation. I say I wish I hadn't watched it because it put me in some kind of funk for some reason. I don't really know why. Maybe I'll take Tom Robbins' prescription for the mopes, and listen to some big mama thornton.

I went out to dinner with my folks and one of my brothers tonight. It was terrific. Best steak that I've ever had. And a really terrific tomato and mozzarella salad. I'm surprised they had such good tomatoes. They're normally horrific this time of year. All mealy and mushy, or hard and completely tasteless. I love a good tomato. But bad tomatoes, I'd rather eat nothing for a week than eat a nasty tomato.

If I could have anything for christmas, it would be a life without advertising. Fuck free speech, we should fucking outlaw the advertising industry. I was going to go further with that thought, but I can't remember where I was going. I should probably sleep, but I think I'll read some.
