The move went surprisingly well. Throughout the past week, a fair amount of people have put forth much effort to help.
Two things bother me, though :
My neighbor who lives directly above me, not so affectionately named Crazy Clapping Tai Chi Man. More and more BIZARRE behaviors have been revealed over the past couple of days. This man.. is fucking nuts. OBVIOUSLY tweeking. The first behavior which I found oddly amusing was his tendency to walk to his sliding glass door.. rip it open.. move his arms in an almost flapping sort of motion.. clapping in between and laughing in a CRAZY sort of fashion. Then he would slam the sliding door shut again.. close the blinds, and walk away. .... for about sixty seconds, at which point he would walk right up and do it all again. Rinse and repeat. My 'moving crew' and I were walking down the hall.. and he comes down the stairs in a very rageful sort of state wearing only a towel, as he had apparently just gone swimming.. yelling angrily about how he 'knows more than all us motherfuckers' and how we 'come in here in a mob' and he's 'calling his lawyer..' He also has a tendency to piss off the balcony, which I'm not particularly fond of considering his balcony is directly above mine. This is a VERY confrontational sort of man.. who will yell at anyone and everyone.. and if no one is there, he will sternly ramble to the walls. He actually walked out onto his balcony to yell at random people across the street doing NOTHING wrong. Just anyone at all. I am NOT exaggerating. ALSO.. the random pounding on my ceiling with what sounds much like a large hammer. Now don't get me wrong, I fully understand the noises that are involved in apartment living.. but this is NOT average. It seriously sounds like he just chucked a rather large object at the wall.. Not only that.. but the EXTREMELY loud noise caused by him apparently jumping up and down, SCREAMING, I might add. Absolutely bizarre.
The other problem is that feeling of being in limbo.. feeling as though I should go home when I'm already there, but it doesn't feel like it yet. If only I had the energy to be articulate, that would have like.. made sense. But alas! Twas not meant to be.
I'm falling asleep. To be continued.
