There are now two - count them, two - "people" who drive around the town I live in with a too-large American flag and a Confederate flag attached to their cars. This isn't entirely surprising, since there is still a chapter of the KKK in this town. What I don't understand is the stupidity of these people supporting both the United States and the Confederacy, even though it has since been relegated to a symbol of racism, Southern pride, and general douchebaggery. Having both of these flags kind of cancels both of them out. If you're truly on the side of the U.S., wouldn't the Confederate flag be treasonous? And if you're truly on the side of the Confederacy, wouldn't the U.S. flag be treasonous? And all that being said, the sight of the Confederate flag just make me sick to my stomach because of what it did and now stands for.
