Hullo!
Helluva week. Apparently, I am in dire need of an attitude correction at work or so says my director.
Door to office closes. Words are exchanged in delicate tones. Hands start to sweat and she begins a long winded
exposition of how I need to be more supportive of team decisions and less combative. I'm listening to this when suddenly there it is: a temporal confrontation with the absurdity and imbecilic nature of corporate existence. She's talking but I comprehend nothing now. I am making entirely way too much money to be complaining about anything at work, but its absolutely rotten to be employed there and now I'll say no more about that.
Saw Neko Case this past Thursday at Bimbo's and she was excellent, although I think she was outshone that evening by her verily excellent backing band, The Sadies.
What's on the stereo these days?: Rainer Maria, Heavenly(a bit of college nostalgia here) and jollie holland
What am I reading?: The Man who was Thursday by Chesterton and a little Neruda(hey I'm single but wistfully longing for a little romance now) on the side.
Trying to make travel plans to Japan next spring. Being designated travel leader amongst your friends is such a pain in the ass.
