It's a public school, but it's all the state requirements that affect what I HAVE to teach and the district restrictions on what I can and can't do. To many beurocrats who don't have to step in a classroom making blanket decisions for everyone to abide by. All seem unreasonable and the work load itself is just overwhelming.

I'm usually one to follow my gut instinct too. In the past when it says "run" I ran. When I ignored it, it became something I ended up regretting. Right now it's telling me to quit. It's my own stubborness and guilt that I invested so much time and money to get this far that keeping me in there... but the quitting side is slowing winning the fight.

The zoo trip sounds cool. I haven't been to a zoo in a long time.

That's cool about the upper level class. You're probably going to love every second of it. I always thought my upperlevel classes were way more fun than the regular ones.

I saw a Dragonforce video on Headbanger's Ball recently. They kind of have that "old school" Metal vibe going for sure. Yeah, you might wanna wait 'til later on those tickets just in case.

I would hate to give you a false "yes", but most venues do indeed sell tickets at the gates. You should double check with the venue to make extra sure. If they don't, I'm sure there will be many extra tickets to be sold by people on the side of the road.

So what if it takes a slow prgression to pull out of your rut... at least it's progress.

It sounds like you had a good reason to be that tired. I know that tere have been a few times for me when I am so so tired that the world gets all dreamlike and I laugh at everything and its really just perfect. I hope that is how it is for you right now. There are other times when I get grumpy and just want to sleep and thoes are lame so I hope your having the good version of no sleep!

I know a guy in Chicago that is just finishing his Graduate studies in art. We did our undergraduate work togeather. He is a performance artist and a sculptor. I would ask him for any tips on the cool places to go in Chicago but he is pritty weird and the places he might want to go might not be for everyone. For example he had been in Chicago for a few months I think and he did this piece where he was dressed up in a suit and took a large gourd to a train station. He then set the gourd on the bench and taped his head to a post. The cops came and took him away, because he would not break character - he kept claiming that he was a designer or somthing and this was how he came up with new ideas.
I thought it was pritty cool, but then again I was in a piece with him where I was wearing a miniskirt and a little kids shirt screaming our made up punk rock lyrics in a mall. The cops came then too.

With the possible exception of an SG:B show, which doesn't really count because I didn't meet any local members, I've never been to any local event ever, since I've joined.

A long time ago i moved into this house and the guy whose room i took over had to leave his cat behind. I bonded with said cat, and didn't let previous owner have him back!

I think that's a good point. I always feel like the chapter with an ex is still running until I meet someone new. You seem level-headed so dont worry about the rebound-thing. We all want that butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling when someone new is winning over your insides..

Well, I never really "celebrated" the full moon in a ceremonial way though I would like to too. The man I am madly in love with -who lives 2008 miles away - and I used to be able to meet only about once a month...and it just always seemed to fall on the full moon. It's been four months since we have seen each other. I'm leaving tomorrow. I won't sleep tonight.
